Research shows four out of five farmers would choose Regenerate Outcomes
Market research commissioned by Regenerate Outcomes has revealed that four out of five farmers would choose our programme over other soil carbon schemes.
The research surveyed 200 farmers, who were asked to pick their preferred programme out of four, based only on the key features. They were not told the name of the project or shown any marketing materials.
Reasons farmers chose Regenerate Outcomes included the payment on offer for carbon credits, the lack of costs or fees, flexibility to leave and simplicity and ease of use.
“It is really encouraging to see these results and gain confirmation that Regenerate Outcomes is delivering the kind of soil carbon programme farmers want,” says Tom Dillon, Managing Director at Regenerate Outcomes.
“We know that while many farmers are interested in soil carbon projects, they are often put off by the risk of being locked into long-term commitments, hidden fees or a lack of integrity in the baselining and measurement process.
“These were exactly the kind of barriers we took into account when we were designing Regenerate Outcomes. We knew it had to be simple, flexible and low risk, while also following the highest standards for verification and analysis.

of farmers are using practices to improve soil health on their farm, but are not in a soil carbon programme.

of farmers are considering joining a soil carbon programme.
Most farmers surveyed also felt certain that farms in their sector would be required to measure or demonstrate carbon performance in the next five to 10 years.
