Groundswell 2025: Gabe Brown, Prince William and endless inspiration
If you are looking for reasons to be hopeful, there are few better places to go than Groundswell.
Regenerate Outcomes have had a stand at Groundswell - the regenerative agriculture festival - since 2023. It has been truly inspiring to see it get bigger and better each year, reflecting the growth of our own team and the number of farms we work with.
Last week over 8000 people came to Lannock Farm, where we laid out our stall next to our mentoring partners Understanding Ag.

We were also lucky enough to be joined by Understanding Ag co-founder Gabe Brown, author of Dirt to Soil and one of the biggest names in regen.
Collaboration, communication and sharing experiences are key to regenerative agriculture and it was encouraging and energising to meet so many people determined to build a profitable, resilient future for farming.
Prince William shows support for regenerative farming
Among the many excellent speakers was His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, who introduced Gabe’s keynote speech.
“If we as a society are to meet the challenges ahead, it will be by learning from the land and those who tend it with wisdom and humility,” the Prince said.
“Regenerative farming is not a fringe alternative, it must be a foundation stone for British agriculture to help us rebuild the health of our nation.”
“Let this festival be not just a celebration of innovation but a rallying call. For regenerative farming is not a fringe alternative, it must be a foundation stone for British agriculture to help us rebuild the health of our nation.”
Surely regen could ask for no higher profile advocate or any greater sign that soil health and farming in synchrony with nature is now well and truly established in the ‘mainstream’.
Catching up with Gabe Brown at Groundswell
We were also lucky to be able to spend the two days working alongside Gabe, who was busy delivering sessions and chatting to attendees.
“It is amazing to me the amount of interest there is in regenerative agriculture in the UK and I believe that Regenerate Outcomes plays a very important part in that.”
“I really appreciate the event that Groundswell has become and I am over here just to share my story and what I see as the future of agriculture and how regenerative agriculture can help society find common ground for common good,” said Gabe.

Another busy day at Groundswell, the regenerative farming festival
“They are out promoting how farmers can increase their profitability while doing what’s right for the resource, sequestering carbon, increasing biodiversity and doing all those things that society likes to see.
“I think it will increase at warp speed. We’ve seen more interest in regenerative agriculture in the past three years than we did in the previous 20 years combined.”
Thank you so much to everyone who came to talk to us at Groundswell and for so many great questions and discussions. Thanks also to the Cherry family for founding and running such an important and hopeful event.
We are already looking forward to next year!
