You’ll benefit from a series of one to one and group mentoring sessions with a focus on reducing input costs, improving soil, plant and animal health and maximising profitability.

Understanding Ag has a proven track record covering over 30 million acres of farmland across all environments and farming systems including the UK and Ireland. Their advisers are all experienced farmers with advanced knowledge of soil science.

The data and mentoring services provided by the programme will support you to make informed strategic decisions. No farming activity is ever prescribed by the programme..

We’ll monitor the environmental benefits of your farming to create carbon credits and other environmental outcomes. Our goal is for you to receive the majority share of any revenue generated. You can also choose to retain the carbon credits to offset your own emissions.

Our monitoring, verification and sales services are market leading in their rigour and maximise value for farms.

All of our services are provided at no up-front cost. In exchange, Regenerate Outcomes receives a minority share of any carbon credit or other environmental outcome sold once programme costs are covered.

We will never recoup revenue from carbon credits or other environmental outcomes that has already been paid to you.

If you leave the programme early, you only stand to lose the revenue that you would have received in your final year in the programme. This is to cover some of the baselining and education costs already incurred on your behalf.

The programme will support your decision making with a range of soil biology tests including their expert interpretation by Understanding Ag.

Specific farming practices may be recommended to remedy imbalances in the soil, reduce input costs and improve plant and livestock health.

We’ll provide you with tools to monitor farming practices and day-to-day ecological observations. You’ll be provided with a subscription to the Soilmentor app to collect this data, and you can opt to receive additional training in the Savory Ecological Outcome Verification (EOV) method from 3LM.

We’ll carry out soil organic carbon sampling on your farm. Sampling is carried out at multiple depths to ensure a robust baseline and is remeasured every four to five years (depending on soil type). Credits generated by the programme are created by a statistically robust and scientifically accredited sampling regime. The scientific methods to collect and analyse these samples are well established and ensure that your baseline will stand the test of time

You’ll be able to request extra funding from the programme to support your work to improve soil health. These interest free loans can be used to pay for farming equipment, additional training and mentoring, ecological monitoring and extra soil biology analyses. The programme covers these costs up-front and only seeks repayment once you start generating carbon credits or other environmental outcomes. The funding is repayable in full should you decide to leave the programme early, and is treated separately to any carbon revenues which would not be repayable.

A cluster of farms is also a potential platform from which to sell quality assured regenerative produce into local and national markets.
